The FCSC Wolves (raising U16 in Fall ’08), are a Fauquier County, VA based boys select travel team, that is in search of talented players committed to high-level play. Team tryouts for the 2008/2009 season will be held June 11, 6:30 to 8:00, and June 12, 5:00 to 6:20 at the Athey fields’ complex in Warrenton. Eligible players must have been born on or after August 1, 1992.The Wolves are coached and trained by Bill Lanza, who holds a USSF B license and has over 9 years of experience coaching premier travel teams in Northern Virginia, to include three State Cup Championship teams. Coach Lanza is a former U.S. National team player and collegiate D1 All-American who has first hand knowledge of what is required for success at the next level. Coach Lanza focuses his training on the development of skills required to be successful at the high school and collegiate levels. He leads by example and allows each player to realize their full potential by instilling in them a passion for the game, and emphasizing their integral role in the team’s success. Players must be committed to attendance and giving their best at practices and games. The team normally trains twice a week. Coach Lanza conducts a weeklong summer camp prior to the start of the fall season. Each season the Team competes in 2-3 tournaments, as well as League play.
